The month of October is busy for Safe Community Wood Buffalo as we host Halloween Safety Presentations at schools, classes & events. The main focus of these presentations is pedestrian safety. Ensuring the children know how to safely cross the street & properly use crosswalks. Of course, it wouldn't be Halloween without a goody bag & every child receives one. Except there are no candy treats in these, just safety reminders, activity books & useful safety gear for Halloween night. Since 2018 we have delivered presentations to 8,494 children & given 11, 532 safety goody bags in the Wood Buffalo Region.
